Newbrook again came from two behind to draw with Spartak in Tymon Park on Sunday.  Newbrook made some changes to team that lost to Everton with Rock going in to partner Phealan at the centre of defecnce and Monks moving from right midfield to right back.  Early chances were few and far between and Newbrooks Mark Doyle pulled of a stunning save low down to his right to deny the Spartak attacker what looked like a certain goal.  Newbrook created little in the first half with efforts from Barry Renick the only point of note.  Spartak  took the lead late in the first half when from a throw in the left winger looped a header of the stranded Mark Doyle.  In to the second half and Newbrook looked like they would run away with the game once they converted once chance and then a cruel blow when a ball back to Phealan from centre midfield was sold short and the nippy spartak attacker ran clear of Lane & Monks to finish well and put Spartak two up.  Massey,  Flanagan, & Flood made some tactical changes with Tannem & Bal Murphy joining Renick in attack.  Newbrook got one back almost immedialtley when Renick found Dessie Breenan inside the box the left winger finished well to bring Newbrook back in to it.  Newbrook were pilling on the pressure with only three at the back could have been caught.  Newbrook levelled it up late on when Renick found Monks inside the box Monks skipped past the defender and cut the ball back to Bal Murphy who made it 2-2.  Newbrook had a late chance to win the game when Tannem looked like he had an easy tap in but a marvelous tackle from the Spartak defender saved the a point from Spartak.
