Newbrook continued there impressive start to the season with a fine 2-0 win against Seaford Rock United in Tymon Park. Newbrook started with a 5 man midfield with Paul Mulligan playing in the hole. The home side started well and were unlukcy not be 1 up when Monks went through on goal after a superb pass from Gar Mulligan only to be denied by the post. Newbrook made a tactical change soon after with Tannem coming in to add height for Monks. This was a tight cagey affair and the first goal was crucial. Newbrook managed to get the first goal when Paul Mulligan met an accurate cross by Bar Renwick to power home and give the home side the lead. Newbrook had chances to put the game to bed and Mick O' Brian won a penalty in the last minute as Barry Renwick slotted home to seal the points. Another good win for Celtic who now sit joint first in LSL 3.

L.S.L webiste report that this game ended 4-1 but it was a 4-0 win for Newbrook on there first home game of the season. Coach Flanagan was promoted to Gaffer Flanagan and done a fine job in his pre match and half time talks aided by Club Secretary John Breen. The first half was a cagey affair with passes being under and over cooked. Newbrook broke the deadlock early in the second half when Barry Renick put in a fine cross for Des Brennan to head home at the back post. Newbrook's second goal was a fantastic individual effort from Barry Renick as he stuck the ball in to the top corner from 25 yards out. The third goal was bundled home after a corner from the left by Simon Monks. The fourht goal was again from a set piece as Mick O' Brien making his first appearance this season put in a fine ball for Renick to seal his hatrick and wrap up a comprehnsive victory for Newbrook Celtic.

Newbrook Celtic shared the points with a young & energetic Knoclyon United side on Sunday in the rain in Knoclyon. This local derby kicked off in wintery conditions and the pace was frantic as both sides attacked. Tackles were hard but fair and chances were few & far between in the opening twenty minutes. Newbrook had a sucsession of corners from the right which were swung in dangerously by left winger Des Brennan but through good defending a good luck newbrook were denied the opening goal. Right midfielder Barry Hanlon had a good chance and did well to get a shot off from a tight angle after the ball was laid back to him by Graham Burke. Newbrook took the lead on the half hour from a corner from the left that was met with by the head of Graham Burke. Newbrook had a few more chances and should have been more than one up at the break but the Knocklyon keeper seemed to be in the right place at the right time. Knocklyon drew level early in the second half after Mark Doyle let a ball slip between his hands. Newbrook went 2-1 up after Barry Renick scored a brilliant effort slipping the ball past the Knocklyon custodian. Nothing more than we had deserved. Knoclyon pushed and pushed for the equaliser and eventually got it down the left were a fine cross from the right winger was met by the head of the centre forward. Points shared in this hard fought local derby.
